A chartered accountant by qualification, Mr. Young’s career comprises the highest leadership levels in accounting, auditing, insurance and banking. He worked in the regional financial services sector for over forty years before he retired in 2012.
Mr. Young served on the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT) and served as its President. Mr. Young was a director of the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange (TTSE) and also served as its Chairman. He was also the President of the Bankers Association of Trinidad and Tobago for three terms. Mr. Young served as the Chairman of the Economic Development Board of Trinidad and Tobago and was also a non-executive director of several large publicly listed companies.
He is a graduate of the University of Leeds and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
